Hello everyone...

This is something I've never done in a long time. There was once a time when I would do this kind of thing when I was little, but my focus was different back then. At the time, I was a Transformer Nut, so I tried to make up my own Transformers. I also remember trying to make up my own characters during my comic collecting days, when McFarlane, Lee, and Liefeld were getting big. I wanted to BE those guys. Eventually, REAL LIFE would get in the way of things, which would lead to a period where I stopped drawing altogether.

I think it was around the mid 2010's where I would get back into drawing...but it would be ON & OFF. It wouldn't be until I was recovering from hernia surgery when I decided to really get serious and get back into the game, since I had nothing else to do. I would then find out about WWOEC and Deviantart and start posting my stuff online. I'e drawn hundreds, maybe thousands of characters, from various toons, comics, anime, and games. However, aside from a few nameless males, it has been DECADES since I created a chracter of my own.

Her name is Maisha.

This young girl is based on a child model I saw online and in a few newspaper ads. I thought she was so beautiful and I wanted to make a character based on her. I tried not to COMPLETELY bse it on her, since I'm still nervous about drawing real people (hence my making it a RULE that I don't draw real people). The girl, who is African-American, is a very young teen, around 11-13, and I wanted to give her a flat, skinny build on her. I also wanted to get her a 5-finger forehead as well, as well as give her buckteeth as well (not not exactly comic-Terra level, but a little bit) just to kinda set her apart.
