Gonna Workout

Do you workout?  I used to, but I fell off that wagon a long time ago.  I stopped once I had my vasectomy and never started again.  I wasn’t doing it to lose weight, it was totally for vanity reasons.  I was to look buff when I go to the beach while camping or when I’m by the pool during Disney vacations.  Recently I decided to take it up again.  I don’t really have time to go to a gym or anything, so I decided to just do basic pushups, crunches and squats on my lunch.  It’s been paying off quite well.  I might not be putting on the muscle quickly, but I have made a noticeable difference and I’m quite happy with that.  I’ll continue to work out like this until I get more time in the future… maybe. ^_^

Im thinking of getting a vasectomy because we now have three children thanks to the twin girls my wife just delivered. Got any tips for recovery

Sure, I can give you tips for recovery. The first and most important… DON’T LIFT ANYTHING!!! I can’t stress this enough. You’ll feel the strain when you get up off the couch. This is no joke. Don’t lift the laundry, don’t lift your kids… don’t lift anything of significant weight. For three days you should be doing nothing but sitting on the couch and watching tv or playing games. It sounds funny, but I’ve known 3 friends that tried to do more then they should have, and ended up making things worse. One had a testicle swell to the size of a grapefruit, another ended up doing more damage and had to take off a month of work. Doctors orders. The procedure is simple, quick and painless and after you should find yourself a nice place on the couch with a bag of frozen peas. Peas work because you can mold the bag to how it works best for you. Make sure your wife understand this, because it can mean the difference of a quick and painless recovery and a long and drawn out one. Good luck and make sure your family is as large as you want it before you get the procedure done. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. ^_^

sometimes i try to work out but it usually stops shortly after it starts. i have a super high metabolism so i’m really skinny anyway, and i dont build muscle when i work out, even if i keep it up for months so i just get tired of it -.-

I used to work out a f#*%-ton. Though, to be honest, it was mostly because my job at the time required me to be in very good shape. After I left that job, my physique went to sh…. Gotta watch the language. I do work out on-and-off, but it is not enough to make a significant difference. I often start and maintain routines for several weeks, but then something arises that throws me off, and I relapse. Really need to get back on that, though. If I don’t, ‘Jabba’ may become a not so ill-suited nickname for me.

P.S. I’m pretty sure that is a cassette player that chick is toting. Kudos and thanks for causing a wave of nostalgia to flood my mental state. I remember when those were the peak of music technology. Damn, I’m old….

I’ve been working at McDonalds these last few months. (I needed the work.) Despite them serving high calorie fast food, the regiment of work there has actually caused me to lose weight. I’ve been telling people “If you want to gain weight, eat at McDonalds. If you want to lose weight, work at McDonalds.”
