Art Removed
Today I went back to visit my DeviantArt account. It’s been quite a while since I did anything on there. The last pic I posted was… dang, I don’t even remember. I used to go there quite a lot actually, but slowly over the years I’ve been going less and less and spending more and more of my time here. If I do go there it’s to find pose ref photos. They usually have a nice variety there. Anyway, I went to DA today just to see what’s new and I noticed that I got a note. Apparently one of my pieces was taken down.
Wet t-shirt drawing of Roxanne no longer has a home there. This isn’t the first time something was taken down. First time was my Christmas Fifi pic.
I do remember the reason given then was because the character was underage (how old is Fifi anyway). I can only assume the same with Roxanne. Oddly, I don’t think Fur Affinity has taken down any of my pieces. Maybe they did and I just never noticed. o_O
I don’t really care to be honest. I do wonder the real reason it was removed. Oh well, I don’t think I fit too well over at DA. I won’t take my gallery down, no harm in leaving it up there. I’d rather focus my time and energy here. It feels more homey. ^_^

Well, Fifi should be old enough, they are in toon university ! 🙂
In later seasons I think they tried to make them more as highschool students. Younger, having teenage problems.

That deviant art rule was always pure a pain : it allows arbitrary decisions.

I reckon that if anything, DA have become more allowing as of late. Granted, it only takes one person to get offended and report something and have it disappear, and there’s essentially no appealing that sort of thing. Not that it’s any big deal in this particular case, thankfully.
Years back, I used to have a DA account under another name that I’d just stopped using at one point as I never did anything with it. Then one day I logged back in out of curiosity, and for some reason it showed up as ‘banned permanently’. Can’t figure out why for lack of anything posted that would have broken any rules, and seems odd to permaban for inactivity, yet still keep said account listed in their database at all.

I find it funny that nobody ever considers that these people are offended but they spend all their time looking for things to offend them. And they never seem to question the habits and motives of the people who help them stay offended. To paraphrase granny from squidbillies on cartoon network “I don’t like to read so I just don’t do it, but that one says I don’t like books so I’m gonna blow me up a book fair.” As for myself “We all have issues, stop trying to get yours published.”

It’s just because they are popular characters really… if they were original characters chances are they’d probably never be removed for that content shown.

I always figured the Tiny Toons in the show were in middle/high school (based on their behavior and scenarios). However, they (obviously) can be drawn at any age. Perhaps DA thought your rendition was a little questionable? Well, whatever, I’m just glad they still have a home here.
