Family Visitor
I currently have family visiting me for the week. Which means it’s hard to make posts and impossible to draw any thing naughty. I’m not upset about it though, it’s good to keep in contact with family and it’s some thing I don’t do as much of as I should. I guess it’s like a forced break from my hobbies. We play host and hostess as we watch shows, play games or go on special trips to see things in the area that we probably wouldn’t normally go and see. It’s a lot of fun and I do enjoy it.
I do find that I (as I’m sure most are) am more mindful of my actions when we have guests. Like, I tend not to fart in front of my Mother if she is visiting or we’ll talk about things that are more relevant to others so we can all enjoy conversations. It is nice though when they leave so you can unbuckle your belt and burp when you please again. Not that I do that when we don’t have guests… well… maybe the burping. ^_^

This reminds me. I’m visiting my mom on Mother’s Day. Shes become grudgingly used to my brother and I swearing and farting around her. Of course, I don’t use certain language around her (sexual mainly, that’s just wrong.) And I don’t show her all my artwork either. I think it would kill her if she knew what I liked to look at and draw.

Yeah… visitors (and moms in particular, it seems). I find myself greatly altering my language whenever I’m around my mom (not so much for any other adult member of the family). She’s a bit of a prude, so ‘foul’ language (which many would consider mundane) is out of the question if peace is to be maintained. What amazes me is (after so many years of switching language-modes in her presence) how it requires almost no conscious effort on my part to not swear around her. I almost never slip up, unless there is some heated argument already in play. We’ve mostly reached a stalemate over the years–I slip one out and ‘apologize,’ she lets it slide with her displeasure noted.

so, this sort of brings up a question that i have had for you for a while now but havent asked. does your wife know you draw these things? cause if she does, she’s awesome for letting you.

Yes, my wife knows all about my naughty drawings and she fully supports me too. Oh, and yes, she is very awesome. ^_^
