Summer Time Peaches
So today I got a really great pre-birthday gift. My Summer Times Peaches figure came in the mail! Yay! I’ve totally been waiting for this for along while now and it couldn’t have picked a better day.
So why is it best that it came in today? Well, this way I can place her on my desk when I get in to work in the morning and have her on display for my birthday.
I tried to take the best pictures I could considering my camera isn’t the best and I didn’t have a nice white back drop. But with all that, I think they turned out pretty good.
I must say, I was really excited when I opened Peaches box up. I’ve never bought a proper/professional figure before and it makes me super happy that she’s my first. Do you own any figures? What one was your first?
It’s always neat to see how 2D characters will make the transition over to 3D.  Peaches here seems to have made the jump very well.
All the details seemed to have been taken care of here. Nice creases on the shorts pockets, the flower on her taco hat and the bows and ties stand out nicely. Even the pads on her feet are there rather then just painted on. She’s also has a good weight to her so no worries of her getting knocked around.
If I had to pick on something, I’d say that the paint job isn’t as tight as I might want it to be. Nothing bad mind you, but you can tell it’s hand painted rather then machine painted. It feels more hand crafted then mass produced. Is that something the turns you off of a figure?
Over all, I couldn’t be happier with my new Peaches figure. If Miu and Studio Cute put out another one, I’ll be sure to get that one too. Maybe a Cream figure to go with Peaches?
So if you’re a fan of Miu, his art or Peaches and Cream, then I do recommend picking up this figure. She’s one of those things that once you have her, you’ll be glad you spent the money, plus she’s a limited run so at some point their will be no more. Peaches here will make a great addition to anyone’s collection for sure. Or if you’re like me, a great start to your collection. ^_^

Actually, I like this a lot better than a plain white background. It gives the white space a very nice texture.

Very neat! I’m a huge fan of his art. To know that something is handmade is definitely a plus in my book.

Sadly my answer to this would be no. I love my summer time Peaches so much. She brightens up my work day all the time. Sorry you weren’t able to get your hands on one. I too understand the sting of missing out on a statue you want very much.

Saddly, Miu isn’t selling these any more, nor am I aware of him having any more made. This first run might just be the only batch… ever. o_O
