Hey people this is a reading room not a Library.

There are no signs on the forum walls that say Quit!

Look I know my stories are not great belive me I do.

And I don't care.

Well as you know my real lack of talent shows in my drawings.

But there are a lot of talented people here doing stories and they should be told you like them.

Well a thanks button would be nice but looks as if we don't have one so no lazy way out.

Why not put out a nice.

Well said. I agree completely. When I post a story, I really rely on the readers' comments to know whether they liked them or not. If no one posts a comment, I have no idea. Even a negative comment is better than none at all. I check the view statistics. If I see a lot of views, but no comments, I assume you're checking the tags and deciding not to read the story, and I might pull the project. In other words, if you like my stories but don't say so, you might lose it instead of getting more. So if you like it, say so.

Of course, that's just my own policy, but you really should give a comment to the stories you read, regardless of who wrote them. After all, what's to stop another author from reading this post and deciding to adopt my policy as well? You never know.

Well i can only talk for me but i can explain.
There is only so much time in the life of person, time that now had ot be divided by various duties and chores(aka job and daily life). At some point you've to schedule and manage the meager free time you get.
Reading a fanfiction take time. Comment take time. Browsing for new or interesting eortic pic take time, watching a you tube video take time, watching a netflix show take time(go figure i have not yet found the time to bingewatch anything! I can watch one episode of whatever show i like per day!)...you got the idea. This lead to me to carefully choose the fanfic i read(one of my rule of thumb is focusing on fiction made by friends or authors i've already read, that feature toon characters i am fond of, and contain minimal oc and the oc don't have to be the main protagonist), I read as fast as i can, sometimes i miss or misunderstood some passage, I leave a brief comment. Max time 20 minutes..
Because daily i've kind of 2-3 hours at BEST to devote actively using internet, passively is another thing.
Hope this cleared things at least when pertaining yours truly

I am not saying read all stories here.

But if a person reads a story and takes 20 minuets and liked it. Well they sould have 1 minuet or less to say thanks.

Not to do it is just being for the most part selfish.

Think of the effort the peson who did it spent.

Well yes, but that was i said, to be honest appreciationa nd thank button were helpful, in that you could show apprexciation toward ana uthor without actually having to scroll for all the fic. now i've to read them. And well..as i said i've to be picky, plus ther eis the fact tha ti don't know what to do when faced with a fic i don't like. I'm not very good at giving negative review.
In any case If i ever found the time to read one of your fic i will surely comment. Albeiot i don't guarantee how well i've read it.
20 minutes is my OPTIMIST time. If i am not browsing rule34 for minerva mink or palmon pictures(my grail is patsy smiles. That pink haired camp girl is totally ignored by fandom...easiest catch nowadays is Judy hopps. They throw her all around). On WWoEC thing for me wwere easier, now i've to go back to old time mode of individual hunt.

I keep asking myself about what it is. It's because I am not writing about 'the flavor of the week'?, It's because I write sometimes too long and 'boring' stuff? It's because my language skills keep me away from writing something really like the classics? Or people hate me in general? Or there is something else?

Well as for me no I was not talking about wanting people to reading and commenting on my stories. When you read the first post I said that myself. If they like them fine if not fine I will post them like it or not.

But if you ask me there are people here who should get responces. Who do not get any and when you don't you get bored and you stop doing stories because they feel like why do them.

Well I myself should respond more you me we all can get lazy now and then. But I still try to do some.

Vik you should know well that I absolòutley don't hate youi, and i appreciate your skill, i envy them too. But i simply drained. In part i think i'm slowly reaching my saturation point of erotic appreciation, as i just don't get as excited about some stuff as i used too(not completely apathic but still far from the over excitement i felt in 199x) so in most case(included some pic) unless is a character i got obsessed about(flavor of the day in literal sense, each day i got a fixation about a specific female toon character...today is Glitch from Rescue Rangers comic) or some ever green(Minerva Mink and Fawn Deer forever they were my "first" and will be my "last") I will generally keep myself quiet, better say nothing than say somethign that will get me banned.
I've read and see a lot about this genre. A. LOT. Somethign i wish i could unread(Fall of Equestria I'm talking to you) or Unwatch(Madjerk I will chop your fingers if i could do that legally), some that i wish lasted more(i miss Fatalis, Doug Winger, and some Ooooold tiny Toon fanfic that featured time travel and AU, that i've lost and i can't find anymore..And some stuff i got enough about. I'm kind of worn out, and my job of 10-12 hours per day(6 on sunday) do not help. I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY....tired. Exahusted. Drained of every creative or empathic spark, consumed by the effort to not choke my customers or ramming theirstupid heads with all my strength on ALL the edges my shop has.

I don't read many fanfic. I alreayd said that. When i read them usually i reply something. If it is neutral or nice. If I have not something nice to say i do not reply. ALSO just sdyaing, is 00.00 now, i'm alreayd late for my timetable(i work on sunday from 07-13-30 free afternood yaaaayy)
I avoid replaying too much since excalty like now i lose time. Lot of it.
Becasue as you pinpointed correclty I'm graphomaniac i cannot do small reply. this is short since i've to go to bed NOW!!

I would never hate you too pal and would feel awfully bad if I did. Don't worry, this thread wasn't meant for other people but to myself trying to find answers. Not that I do want to be the most popular writer anywhere but also want to know if actually there are people caring for great stories (I know you do), be mine or of someone else

I understand, everybody is a bit worn out if in 'this business' for many years and plus having other RL things catching up. It was just some upsetting of mine toward myself and now I understand that it was unfair to blame others for that

I hope that we can still be friends and that you can always like my things as I want to still like yours as well

Ah sorry for my over reaction. All work and no fun make Fez the Baron a really paranoid boy.
Add to this that i don't deal well with changes(it will took time....for getting accustomed to this place...) and i am slightly misanthrope.
