The New Year will bring you great news.
Some of you probably noticed that in the last 12 months I focused on a specific choice of topics and each new drawing I posted during this time brought me closer to make a long leap.
With two friends of mine I decided to create the Blue Monkey Studio conveying our professional skills in the entertainment field.
I am suggesting to the faithful friends that followed my work till now, to monitor the new page of the Studio that will be up and running from January.
On Blue Monkey you will find some of our established characters such as the Aenigma seekers, Tecn-0 and the Boy King as well as Tons of new projects posted for your pleasure. On the studio page you will also find stories, and artistic prizes promoted by us.
My personal gallery will not be closed, but since I will focus my energy on this new thrilling
adventure I will update it less frequently.
Follow the Monkey and she will bring you the ideas stolen from the gods.

We are looking for:
Artists with an euromanga style similar to our own (Ref. AA01).
Digital colorist able to work on our linearts (Ref. DC01).

For artists: 5 lines profile with your contact details, 3 samples of your finished work both in B&W or full colors and the link of your gallery.

For Digital colorists: 5 line profile of your experiences, the list of the software you use, 3 samples of your finished work in full colors (also on other artists rough pencil) and the link of your gallery.

Preference will be given to Italian artists, located in the area of Genoa. This does not constitute a compulsory selection element.

I report a news that maybe you like.

"We did a lot of work in these weeks, our studio is becoming a really beautiful dream and in the next weeks we show you a lot of amazing news.

Here the first news, we are sure you like that.
We received a lot of feedback about our first contest, a lot of people asked us a little more time to finish their work so we decided to move the deadline to the 30th of SEPTEBER 2010.

The rules are the same:

Artistic Prize “Get the Monkey”

Terms & Conditions of Entry
The pieces of art must original and unpublished, of exclusive creation of the author.
Each must reproduce one or more characters of the main sagas of the Blue Monkey Studio: Tecn-0 or/and Aenigma (crossovers are accepted – for reference check the Blue Monkey Studio deviantart gallery - [link]).
The competition is open to all living artists, whether they have been published before or not.
However each submitted work must not be on submission to or under contract/option to any other publisher.
Submitted pieces of art can be published on the personal galleries of the author only bearing the name of the character, the saga, the Studio and a link to its Deviantart gallery ([link]).
Any missing information will be notified and formally asked for correction and completion by the Blue Monkey Studio.
In the case of no answer within 5 days from the notification, the entrant will be excluded from the Prize and will be formally asked to remove the piece of art form his/her personal gallery.
The participation to the Prize is free-of-charge.
A maximum of three entries per artist will be accepted, in the case of more than one, different characters must be represented.
All pieces of art will be published on the Blue Monkey Studio Deviantart gallery in the section dedicated to the Prize.
All artistic techniques will be accepted with the exclusion of photographic art and manipulation.
Nude art is accepted, however explicit sex scenes in any form will not be admitted to the evaluation.
Entrants can be worldwide. In entering the competition you warrant that:
1. The entry is an original work, which has not been made available in any form anywhere throughout the world.
2. That it contains no defamatory elements, or any matter which invades any individual’s rights of privacy.
Entries must be received in electronic version by e-mail to the following address (blue.monkey@libero.it) in attachment and in jpg format. Each entry must not be more than 250 Kbyte).
In the case of multiple entries, each must be forwarded in a separate e-mail.
Zip files or other format that may contain a virus will be automatically deleted and not considered for the Prize.
The object of each e-mail must bear the following “Get the Monkey Prize – 2010”
The e-mail text must bear i)the title of the piece of art; ii)the author name; iii)his/her e-mail address.
All entries must be received by Blue Monkey Studio no later than 00.00 AM of the 30th of September 2010.
The scoring list and the Winner will be published on the Blue Monkey Studio Deviantart gallery
(studiobluemonkey.deviantart.com/).
The Winner will be notified by e-mail.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into either during or after the judging process.
Chance plays no part in determining the Winner. Entries will be judged in regard to artistic merit.
Do not submit any creative materials apart from your artistic entry, as no material can or will be returned.
Keep a copy of your entry for your reference.
Blue Monkey Studio takes no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries.
The Winner receives a Prize of € 100,00 which will be provided through bank transfer or any other envisaged form defined among the Blue Monkey Studio and the Winner.
The Prize is not transferable and not redeemable for any other goods or services.
Blue Monkey Studio reserves the right not to offer a Prize if, in its reasonable opinion, no received entry is of an acceptable artistic standard.
By entering the competition each entrant accepts the conditions of entry as prescribed and gives his/her express consent to the treatment of his personal data, for his/her artistic piece to be considered for the Prize and to have his/her work published in the Blue Monkey Studio Deviantart gallery, in the section dedicated to the Prize.
