With the success of Deadpool it seems DC wants some of that R rated cash. Plans for a Lobo movie are afoot and Warner Brothers has tapped Jason Fuchs (writer on Wonder Woman) to do the script.

I would see that in a heartbeat. All I ask is for Brad Garrett to be Lobo. (Since he voiced him in the DCAU)

EDIT: And on the subject of superheroes, something I stumbled upon that I'm really excited for.

A little while ago I was rewatching Big Hero 6 on TV and wondering when a sequel was gonna come out. Next day I check YouTube and I see an announcement that a TV show of Big Hero 6 has been confirmed for Disney X-D to start next year. (Article: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...-series-872040)

But I like those! They look like updated versions of the ones from the 1995 movie with glowing effects added!

So Ben Affleck has been named executive producer of the upcoming Justice League and the DCEU as a whole. Is it enough to save the state the DCEU is in, with the hard 'thud' that was Batman v Superman and 'Flash' director abandoning ship? Probably not. Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman will go ahead as planned, but if Justice League turns out to be a clunker then we'll likely be hearing the 'R' word (reboot) in the DCEU's future.

It's really telling when more people like their TV Universe more. It's almost like their Dark and Gritty Bat Blanket didn't work.

Tell me about it. I often wonder, what with the 'eh...' heard round the world that was BvS, how the DCEU will go at this point. Well, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman are still a go. The former because they aren't going to waste those expensive reshoots to add more jokes and the latter because cancelling their only female-led movie in their lineup would be a PR disaster. But 'Flash' director abandoning ship and the Aquaman director rumored to do the same, who knows. All I do know is, as you just pointed out, if Batman v Superman proved one thing is that they can't drape their Bat-Safety Blanket over their entire movie-verse because it just doesn't work with some of their characters. Superman least of all.

It's official. Supergirl Season 2 is moving from CBS to CW, and shooting will move from LA to Vancouver.

So one thing I've been doing on my forced-downtime was go back and rewatch the X-Men movies, and...yeah, they didn't age well. =P

Suppose I may as well give the dead horse that is 'Batman v Superman' one more kick. So while the so called 'Ultimate Edition' will be officially released digitally on the 28th this month and on Bluray on the 16th of July. Here's the trailer.

Though despite Warner Bros. best efforts the movie has been leaked online, though not in HD. Because this cast still has me more or less on house arrest I did a naughty thing and downloaded it. So does this three hour cut make the movie better? Well, yes and no. The story makes more sense. There are more establishing shots, scenes play out better, we actually see Clark do some investigative reporting, and Superman actually helps people during the explosion in the Capital Building...

But it's still not a good movie. Batman is still a murderous, paranoid hypocrite, Lex Luthor is still a twitchy little twerp, Superman is still a mopey sad-sack who is criminally underused in a movie with his name in the title despite the extra scenes, and on the whole the movie is still a bloated, overstuffed mess. So the Ultimate Edition is better than the theatrical version, but only in the sense that dog shit is better after it dries out laying in the sun. Yeah, it doesn't look or smell as bad anymore, but it's still shit.

So, yeah. If everyone's problem with the new Ghostbusters movie is that it's a remake and nothing else then how come nobody other than MovieBob is talking about the possibility of The Rock playing Jack Burton in the remake for Big Trouble in Little China?

Announced today , apparently they're "remaking" and "updating" The Magnificent Seven, director Antoine Fuqua, starring Chris Pratt and Denzel Washington.
