Hey folks, no big surprises here, but like I said and in the Reddit page, https://www.reddit.com/r/stevenunive...d_show_in_the/ Even good cartoon shows with high quality like Gravity Falls & Steven Universe also ended up just being nominated and yet, the poll is obviously rigged, zero quality Spongebob continue to keep winning, just as I predicted or if not prophesied. Nickelodeon is treating Spongebob as their "Face of Nickelodeon" and if not the "Mother of all Flagship" cartoons. It has won the 8th time in a row and 13th overall. To those who are thinking of Fairly Oddparents, it's not in there, the show is now a zombie. Hardcore fans can tell its state, and so do I. So I don't expect the show to be in there, if it is, then.... wow. But then... can't say more now, Nick loves it but continue to crank more money only to pay Butch but never spend more to improve the quality, hence FOP is a zombie.

Oh by the way, Favorite Male Singer winner is Justin Bieber, not even want to know, but yeap, it happened.

So the main question to you is, do you feel like the whole system is completely rigged?

I already know that one, that's why I classify that cursed yellow sponge being whatever stupid false title he's holding, and you're right, it should be TMNT or FOP (If the quality is retained until today, but it's not anymore)

TMNT should win, but you know what's odd? Avatar won once but Korra won none. What the hell, man?!

Being the "Face of Nickelodeon" is also there for a reason, other than merchandise, he's also available on amusement parks too. That will surely make me vomit. "Flagship" is something Nick is proud of, simple, like any corrupted politician would do to win the position while the citizens pay taxes, MONEY MONEY MONEY into their pockets!

I never like KCA anymore either, it already bored me over time.

Speaking of SB, no point judging anyway. If young kids still watch, we can let them be, their minds are not fully matured yet, so it's foolish & if not pointless to blame them, pretty much like scolding on a clueless cat or dog. As we grow older, then we know what's going to happen.

I honestly was never a fan of SpongeBob. Sure there were a few episodes that I liked but the rest I was going "Come on.... even a three year old is not as dumb as SpongeBob and Patrick are sometimes!"
It seems that the 'golden age' of cartoons is over. Even Digimon Tri (yes, I know it is considered an anime) has not been living up to my expectations.

Masha and the Bear is the only show I have watched recently where the quality was pretty much spot on all through the episodes.

Today we only got a handful of good cartoons, Wonder over Yander & Gravity Falls were good, but they did not last. I got the feeling maybe it's because of financial reasons, the higher quality, the higher the budget required.

Today there's not a lot also, we all know that Spongebob is the ebola of the cartoon industry, he can suck the blood out of newbie cartoons and can die, not to mention he monopolizes the whole industry, making him the Adolf Hitler of the cartoon world, kill all those who dare to oppose him and his "high quality" title. Though of course, there are other cartoons managed to survive his reign, Gravity & Wonder did survive, but they met their end at last. We all miss good cartoons these days.

PS : Spongebob ain't the only disease, High School Musical started the whole live action trend, in the end, Disney, Nick & even CN took advantage of the trend and follow suit too. Making our problems two fold.

Disney and Nick have had live action stuff for as long as I can remember, and that's into the early 80's. It wasn't until the early 90's with "Doug", "Rugrats", and "Ren & Stimpy" did nick even have their own original programming. CN didn't have anything of their own creation till the mid 90's.

The reason that the 'good shows' don't last long is not so much money as statistics.
Like it or not, there are a lot of easily entertained people out their, reality tv is proof of that. and while a well written and well drawn show, that has a novel approach can gather a good following, it'll never get the numbers of a lowbrow comedy. They got the the people whom the 'good shows' go over their heads, and they also get the people bright enough to enjoy the 'good show' but also take a guilty pleasure in watching the adventures of the aquatic meth addict and his lobotomized sidekick.
Network exes only see numbers, and the show with less numbers is going to get the short end of the stick every time.

There are live actions, some are good and some are bad. I remember Nick have "All That" & "Kenan & Kel", I would love to watch them (Except All That's music videos at the end) but that wasn't me interested when I was younger. But today is now mostly the genre all gone wrong.

Huh! Execs, greedy greedy! Pretty much like the guy in the Gmod video, "EA in a nutshell". It's all about maximizing profit with a crappy product, high quality product = low profit or if not loss. Yes, I understand your term about numbers, but for the case of Spongebob, he's a disgrace must be wiped out from Earth so that other cartoons can compete fairly on an even ground.
