So tell me... what do you want?
So I’m sitting there trying to come up with this ‘brain storming’ thread. Thinking about asking, “what would you like to see on TJA that would create a better community and more active membership/encouragement for conversation?” I realize I don't have that much time to spend building the community such a thread would try to achieve. Like it’s my goal is to create a living organism that thrives alone despite outside influence and maintains itself without constant direction. In other words, a community that empowers you the poster to say what you want when you want and have other people discuss it with you.
Yet every time I try I get this daunting feeling because from my perspective TJA fosters a lot of 'fans and artists' vibe. Where everyone is either a fan or an artist and there doesn't seem to be any leeway in-between. I feel like that needs to be changed. And say to myself “What do you think? Agree/disagree?” …but then I loose the nerve to post and it goes unsaid and I feel guilty later. But honestly I don’t really think this forum was meant for more than that. Thinking on it now it has always been a forum for fans and artists to discuss the parody work and what not. Nothing so deep as a community that discusses everything and anything openly as they wish. All forums are based on common interest and the common interest of this entire site has always been parody art. Mostly, if not completely, erotic.
Honestly… I’m not much into that kind of thing… so I really I think it is fine like it is. We don’t talk much, we don’t have much to talk about, but it isn’t like we have to.
So. I’m sitting here thinking all of this and I realize that TJA doesn’t and isn’t suppose to be the forum you want to visit everyday so you can blab at your friends about this and that. I guess this is me trying to get over the feelings of guilt I get for not posting here more often and questioning why I feel that way. I have a very strong sense of loyalty, and many times on the internet I’ve had to abandon forums or groups and whatnot because everyone simply went silent and nothing happened. That same fear and guilt makes me want to redouble my efforts. But hey, maybe I’m trying too hard and everything is like I just said I thought it was. But still I can’t help trying. So tell me…
