<rant>I hate to say this...BUT, if the movie is going to be anything like what the poster looks like...then I'm not really all that impressed. I know that there have been cases where the artwork for things has looked horrible while the actual product actually turned out well. (One good example of that would be when Megaman (the first one) came to the U.S. 20 years ago, the art on the box was godawful, but the game was pretty good).

However, as a former Graphic Design student; I know for a fact that the goal of stuff like this poster are supposed to make people want to see the movie. But, I don't see anything really appealing about it. I used to watch the show when I was younger and it probably would look better if they kept the Chipmunks they way they had been since the 60's...animated (and I don't mean computer generated animation either).</rant>

OK, I think I'll shut up now...Cheetah (or any of the other mods), I apologize if this post upsets you, I wasn't trying to do that, I just wanted to make a point.

I had mixed feelings about it. I saw the poster for it a few weeks ago and was like...WTF? I saw an actual preview for it yesterday when I went to see the Simpsons Movie. From what I could tell, they were going to have much more REAL chipmunk-like qualities...it was cute. It's to the point right now where I'll just have to wait and see what happens when the actual movie comes out. I'm a big fan of the old '80s chipmunks, and I just...don't know. Maybe the interest in the movie will spark an interest in the old series. I do know that I love Jason Lee...but I'm skeptical about whether he can pull off a good "Dave". =/

And since when do chipmunks have freakin' huge, poofy tails?... >d

I had seen a preview of the movie and it scared me. I do wish that they had kept the same style as the earlier chipmunks.
