Things that enter my head while trying not to get out of bed...
For some reason Seth's pic popped into my mind, in full motion as if I were watching it in a movie. Before long it developed into a full fledged finale for a romantic comedy, the camera panning out on the scene with Alexia running/hopping about with Rod still stuck to her while Lionel Richie's "Stuck On You" begins to play...
"Stuck on you
I've got this feeling down
Deep in my soul
That I just can't lose
Guess, I'm on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now I guess
I'll be with you till the end
Guess I'm on my way
Mighty glad you stayed"KS

I guess my question is more contextual. It always pops up whenever I read a furry comic and suddenly I start seeing humans. So which came first... the furry or the humans? Did humans make furs generations ago and at current time there's equal rights between them? Is this a world where there was a lot of parallel evolution all at once and wolves and servals and cheetahs all gained intelligence along with those damned apes? I guess whenever I see humans and furries together I just go... 'why'?
As Alexia herself, I have to wonder why she's so driven? I mean it seems like she's putting in a lot of work for a camera shop / porn studio. I'm pretty sure Jo wants to know the answer too. She's single... and I have to wonder why. Pretty, intelligent, driven... she should have picked some one up at some point in her life.

Believe it or not, there's many people out there that are happy being single. Some may even see relationships as a lot of unnecessary drama, and if you have plenty of friends, who needs extra drama? I mean that'd be the reasoning.
There was a time where I was upset to be single, but then I just relaxed about it and found I could make myself happy. So that really kept my mood nice to be honest, and I didn't end up pining for a relationship. Your mileage may vary though!

Which means that Rod is probably doomed to the friends zone. If Alexia has no need for relationships there's a less likelihood that she's going to want one. I want to know if Alexia is in that state of full independant actualization or is there want for another in her heart? And I want to know why. Why why why. Why's are always the most important to me.

That said, those would be interesting questions to be answered as the comic proceeds!

*pulls a theory out of the ether*"In the beginning, there was the inkpot. From the inkpot, the celestial brush drew forth the world, and then it added the little details. It drew the oceans and the forrests, the desserts and the poles. Then the ink was left to dry. After the count to seven, the celestial brush drew forth the creatures of the world, some with two legs some with four, some with a great deal more, until finally, the Hand tired, and the brush was laid aside and the inkpot corked, and the words were spoken: Excellent, I'm going to beat the Deadline."
If you take a close look at Alexia, this little theory does hold some truth. : )
And if anything, me and Jim feel this universe is somewhat based in the Adult Swim timeslot. No-one's going to survive an anvil hitting them on the head unless they have some massive crazy plot-armour; but at the same time, a dog anthro boinking, say, a horse anthro isn't going to explode in a spray of guts and ouch.
Humans+'furries' harks back to the days when i first encountered the furry fandom back int he late 90s... I didn't understand anthros were serious business.. i just saw them as a bunch of cartoon animals. I soon learned.
BUT! The reality is, CnC is a comic-strip. It is a drawn medium involving a bunch of talking animals; so, why NOT humans? True, Alexia is the sole human hired at this studio, but that's mainly due to the fact 80% of the employees are childhood friends.
As for her drive - it's really jsut her personality and location (and again, the lack of comics). Its established she lives right above the office and that she occassionally falls asleep at her desk working late nights. I figure if anythign she jsut gets into a zone/groove and jsut keeps going until she's done.
And for her relationship status, well, Rod seems to know the score, which is part of his meloncholy, but, time will tell....

V.Kyrie mentioned in another thread that Alexia has made use of CnC's intimate video services... which just screams the question, "Oh? With whom?!" ..and, "Can I see?"
Humans and anthros occupying the same world seems to be as old as story telling itself. Fairy tales like Goldilocks and the Three Bears or Little Red Riding Hood with the Wolf are two classic examples. Modern animation such as Bugs Bunny with Elmer Fudd, and countless other TV/Movie examples shove the pairing together with little explanation of 'how' or 'why'. Even non-antro 'intelligent' animals paired with humans is quite common. Bambi and Ice Age are two of many example.
Since I grew up with the lkes of Disney and Looney Toons I find I do not question how the anthro/human world came to be, rather I find my interest lies in how the author(s) have the denizens in his/her/their world interact. My impression of the anthro/human relation in CnC, as said by another, 'just is', and has always been 'just is'.
...and seriously, did Alexia put her tapes up for public view?

Along this linem I've always wondered about a certain classic movie...
In Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I've wondered exactly how Toons come to life.
I mean are they drawn and then they spring to life off the paper?
Do they have to appear in an animation project first before somehow appearing in the real world?
anyway, I know your not supposed to think about it, but.... I can't help it!
The closest thing I've come to a theory of this is in the real world a movie is made, then somewhere in Toon Town the characters just appear, then they can come out into reality through that hole/tunnel thing.
