No, this isn’t an announcement for an upcoming game.  It would be cool if it was though, eh?  Nope, just more fake screen shots of my fictitious GameBoy game Random Mysteries.  I generally think that I missed my calling in the industry.  I would have loved to make a GameBoy game back in the day.  Oh, well… I can at least appease myself with making screen shots of the games in my head.

I wonder what charm tactics Random has in her bag.  *wink, wink* ^_^

After I did up my Random pixel art, I wanted to jump in to another one.  So I’ve been chipping away at this one.  I really want to do more with Ping and Pong and this seemed like the perfect time to do so.  I think they look totally adorable in pixel form.  Not sure if girls really do this… compare boob sizes (with no undies on), but in my mind they do!  Pong doesn’t look too impressed. ^_^

Thought I’d show off a little something I’ve been working on.  So I made that Random pixel post a while back and it got me wanting to do more of it.  So I started working on something a little different.  See, I love GameBoy games.  If I could make one I would in a heart beat.  Having worked in mobile games all my life, I now love having graphical limits put on me.  I find that I am my most creative when I have only very little to work with.  I makes me think differently in order to create an awesome final result.

Anyway, I thought about how much fun it would be to have Random Squirrel have her own GameBoy Game.  I picture a isometric detective game where you have to gather clues and talk to people to gather info so solve a case.  What with her being a courtroom stenographer, I’m sure she’d loves get hands messy in some amateur detective work.  I’m sure she has her ways to get info from people (wink, wink).

I only did a few fake screen shots, but I think I’ll do up some more since they where so much fun to do.

Ta dah!  What’s this you ask?  Why just some random pixels.  Actually, this here is represents what I do for a career.  No, not sexy pictures (well, that too I guess).  I push pixels and I’ve been doing so for about 10 years.  Oh sure, I can paint and illustrate too, but my true love is old school graphics.   I’ve never done a pixel illustration for my blog, so I thought it might be fun to try it out.  I think my random squirrel came out pretty adorable.  I might just have to try others too.  I think Ping and Pong would look so cute like this.

One thing that I don’t have though is a pixel  blog/site.  I know there are other pixel artists that have galleries (Paul Robertson, Kenneth Fejer), but I never felt compelled to so the same and reach pixel fame on the internet.  All my pixels can only been seen in the games I’ve made.  Oh, and just so everyone knows, this image here is scaled up 200% so you can see it better.  Here it is at it’s original size.

I keep a survival kit on my desk.  What is this kit called?
