I drew boobs

So the other night I extended the offer for others to hang out in my air conditioning and draw boobs and vadges.  No one showed up, but seeing as I had some time to kill before bed, I decided to draw some anyway.  I really should take some life drawing classes again to brush up.  Nothing too heavy, just once a month I think would be fine.  I know a buddy that goes from time to time and he said the open class he attends is pretty good.  I thin k it costs about $10 which is a fine price to pay in my opinion for a live model to draw.  I remember in life drawing class from when I had animation and the amount of life drawing we had to take was staggering.  While I don’t have time for that, I should get back in to it.  Gotta keep the skillz up!

Next time maybe I’ll draw more vadges.   Anyone want to model for that?  ^_^

Hot enough for ya?

I don’t know where you are right now, but where I live in Ontario Canada, it was so damn hot today it beat historical records.  It got up to 35C (95F) with a humid-ex of 40C (104F)!  Most people think that Canada is nothing but snow and cold all year round, but that it not the case.  In fact, Canada is one of the few places where we can get really hot summers (32C/89F) and super cold winters (-15C/5F).  That’s a almost a 50 degree difference from the coldest to the hottest in one year, and today was defiantly one of the hottest.  I remember living in an apartment back in college trying to survive the hot days.  I don’t miss that for sure.  If you’re out there in a hot box of an apartment, I’d say come on over here and we’ll play video games and draw boobs and vadges in my air conditioning, but I’m sure the commute would be far too long for most of you.  Take care in this heat people!

Desk Decorations

So last night I had a post all done up and ready to go and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get it to post.  Then, for what ever reason, WordPress didn’t save a draft like it usually does.  So much for getting a post every day for a year.  Actually I think I missed that goal a few weeks ago.  Oh well, today you get photos of my desk decorations.  These are some of the books I have handy at my desk.

Super Powers!

If you could pick one super power to have, which would it be?  Only one now, no cheating.  No over all mutant abilities or anything.  One super power.  It’s a tough call to make for sure.  Super strength would be awesome at times.  So would the ability to fly or teleport.  X-ray vision sounds cool, until you realize you get to see through to peoples bones and not just their clothes.  I guess you could make up a super power too.  Like the ability to talk to ducks or telescopic sight.  Something totally useless but a lot of fun.

Me?  I might pick the ability to fly.  I think that would be a very handy one to have.  I hope, I’m sure there is a draw back somewhere that I’m forgetting.  Like I won’t be able to fly too high due to the pressure so I can only fly at lower heights.  Still, flying might be cool.

Society has Collapsed!

Okay, not really.  But lets just say that it did for what ever reason.  Zombies, aliens, natural disasters… you pick.  The end result is that governments have all collapsed and people and communities form groups in order to survive.  Food is scarce, so is water, gas and other such provisions so you’ll have to hunt out and scavenge what you can.  Where do you think you’ll fit in, in this new world?  Do you have any skills that would make you an asset to a larger group?  Could you see yourself as a foot soldier for a larger mass to help protect what supplies you all had?  Perhaps you’d have better chances as being a loner.

I wonder this sometimes as, being an artist, I don’t really have sought out skills for survival.  I’m not sure what my odds would be, but I know I would do everything I could to help protect and provide for my family.  I also think it’s interesting that some people would rise up and become leaders where they might not have been before the collapse.  People that had been leaders might falter in this new society as well.

I’ve watched shows about people that stock pile food and build shelters in their backyards and such to prepare for the worst.  I don’t think I’ll be doing that anytime soon, but good on them.  I also watched a show about just this scenario and it talked about having to potentially leave everything behind as looters would probably sack your place.  It suggested that smaller groups would travel better and stand a better chance getting accepted in to groups and other survival tips.  While I don’t think this will happen any time soon nor do I worry about it, it’s interesting to wonder about such a thing happening.  So… how would you fair in a collapsed society?

Ask me a question… I’ll tell you an answer

Wow, lots of people had questions for me this time.  I think the last time I did something like this I got very few.  I’ll see how many I can answer in this post before I fall asleep.

Q:  …you were saying something about a Tinkerbell gallery type thing, whats the news on that? how far are you? are we close to seeing it yet?

Q:  How is that set with Tinkerbell and other fairy’s set coming along?:)

A:  The Tinkerbell portfolio is still in the works… it’s just going extremely slow right now.  With the renovations going on at my house my mother living in the city now and just summer time in general, I find it hard to get the time I want to draw it.  What’s great is that I haven’t lost interest in it.  Not in a long shot.  I still very much want to get this done because I think it’s turning out fantastic!  I will give up a little more info on it though.  I will have two parts to it each 10 pages.  First is Tink in a group situation with other male fairies from the movies and the second will be her with one of her lady fairy friends.  I’ve already picked out who it will be but I’ll keep that a secret for later.  I guess I could put up a tease image for now to keep peoples interest seeing as how I’m not sure when it’ll be done.
