I have warts. Not huge ones… just small, flat warts. They don’t hurt, in fact, if I didn’t tell you, you wouldn’t even notice them. I had one for over 10 years. But found a way to get rid of them. Duck tape. I’m sure some of you out there have heard of this. Some may have tried it too. Well, for those that have not and are looking for a cure to their warts, duck tape is the way to go.
I came across this treatment not for me, but for my son. He had a ginormous wart on his toe and it hurt him a lot. I knew he wasn’t going to go for doctor treatments on it as I’ve heard they’re quite painful. Heck, I didn’t want to do it. So when I saw this, I figured we’d give it a try. All you have to do is apply the tape to the wart and leave it there for about 5 to 7 days. Then remove the tape and use and emery board or nail file to file off the dead skin on the wart (the skin where the tape was will be white like it’s been in the bath for a looonnngg time). Leave the tape off over night and then reapply it in the morning. This process will take a long time before the wart goes away, like… several months. But if you stick with it, the wart will go away. My son now has no wart on his toe at all.
So if you or someone you know has warts… use duct tape on them. It totally works.
One thing I don’t seem to have is artist friends. Oh, I have friends that are artists. I know Max Balck Rabbit and GNAW. I’ve talked with Eric S., Dadward, Jive Guru and Andy Bunny a few times as well as some others. But I don’t have any art buddies in the naughty art fandom that I talk to on a regular basis and maybe trade art with back and forth or run ideas through each other. Do other artists have artists buddies? I generally think that they do. That they’ve hooked up with someone else they admire or of equal skill and born a new friendship. I don’t have that. I’m pretty much a loner. I have been in a lot of my life. Oh, I have friends, but I don’t have friends that I go and hang out with. Well, that’s not totally true. My Wife is my best friend and we do everything together. But I don’t have an artist buddy, and you know what. If I where to get one now… I’m not sure I would know what to do with him/her. o_O
Seeing as how we where talking about the Chipmunks/Chipettes a few days ago and I also mentioned posting rough pics I guess this is pretty good time to post this. I actually just found it today when I was going though some old PSD’s. It’s from 2008 according to the date on it. It seems that I drew her more true to the cartoon in this one. Opinions and thoughts on that are welcome.
So over the Holidays I did get a new game to play. Not a 3DS game though, I like to try and collect the older, quirky games left behind. It’s a DS game called Ghost Trick. I started to play it a few days ago and I can honestly say that I’m very much enjoying it. So far there is quite a bit of talking in it vs. game play, but that’s it’s only down fall. Everything else has been great! Especially the animation. It’s quite possibly the best animation I’ve seen in a game in a long, long time. The story is right up my ally too. You play a dead guy who is trying to solve his own murder. Fantastic! So if you’re looking for a great DS game to play, I recommend Ghost Trick for sure. If you have a Wii, you can actually download a demo of the game from the Nintendo Channel right to your DS or 3DS. Well… go on and give it a try!
So during my holidays I got to take in a movie. Things I watch have to be family friendly (unless it’s a date night with Wife) so as a New Years Eve treat, we took the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. I know, I know… many have voiced their dislike of the CG designs of the 80’s cartoon we grew up with (I’m assuming that you are all with in the same age as I am), and I agree… mostly. I do like the designs of the main characters. I think they did a good job of making them actual chipmunks unlike the cartoon where they were… I’m not really sure. What I don’t care for is the Chipette CG designs. They just look out of proportion to me. Especially Elenore, her head is HUGE! Brittany was okay and Jeanette just looked odd.
The other thing I found strange is the sexuality that they put in to the Chipettes. The sexy dancing and the scene where they come out all in towels that don’t quite go to the bottom (the below picture isn’t the best sample but the best I could find). I don’t remember them putting that in to the cartoon… but it has been a while. I might have to check that out again.
Over all, the movie was just okay and pretty much what you’d expect from a Chipmunk flick. The kids liked it and that’s what matters. Did you take in a movie on during the holidays?
