So the other day I was going around the internet as I tend to do and I came across this photo advertising the World Erotic Museum in Florida (the photo was supplied by them).  I was totally like… WHOA!!  That centaur is totally ready to bone that chick!  I was sort of shocked that bestiality was sculpted out like this back in ancient times for all to see (much less used on MSN Travel).  So I got curious… lets see if there is more like this around, and you know what… there totally was. Crap!  I forgot to do a post for the day!  I got painting the Jersey Devil and lost track of time.  So… um… lets do a question period!  What job field are you working in?  Did you enter the field that you went to school for?  If you’re still in school, what are you training for?

I went to college for Classical (film) Animation.  I don’t work in that field specifically, but I do animation for video games.  So my answer is… sorta. ^_^

What would I have brought home from Disney if I could have traveled with it safely?

So the next step is picking the colours.  It can be tricky, you want to make sure that the colours you pick will reflect the character that your building.  It’s also at this point that I’ll be making small adjustments to make sure that the final pic comes out as it should.  So how about these colours?  Any opinons?

I’m actually really liking this design.  I might draw more of her if the commissioner is cool with it.  I think I might call her Jersey.

Last time on the 2 4 1 commission progress report, I showed the selection of poses that I had for the commissioner.  They had picked the one above, which meant it was now job to do a larger rough picture of said pose.  At this point I’ll put in the specifics like face, hair accessories and such.  Anything can still change, but with these details going in, I can start to take the character in a specific direction.  And as of this morning, I got approval that my direction was fine (save a few minor details) and so I’m ready to show it to you fine people. No… not the movie.  Good grief. o_O  No, I mean the cartoon series.  I had to watch it at work a few years ago because I was on a project that was tied to the movie that was coming out.  It was pretty cool because we had access to some pre-production shots and concepts for the movie.  Anyway, I got watching the cartoon series and fell in love with the story and characters.  I think I’ve watched the whole series from beginning to end close to 20  times.  The whole adventure and story is just so incredible that after it ended (and what and ending… wow!) I desperately wanted to know more about what happened to the characters.  I even would love to know the history of the world they’ve created.  It’s just so awesome in my books.  Plus I really linked with the character Aang  and his Buddhist ways and out look.

Well, last year I was thrilled to find out they there was to be another story in this series.  The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra.  It happens about 70 years after the end of the first series and I love how the creators have aged and moved technology and innovation in to the world.  It’ll be interesting to see what they do this time.  Is anyone else excited for the new Air Bender cartoons?

iO9 has some early clips from the show.  It’s supposed to be out sometime this year.  I can’t wait!

The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra clips

So I just watched Hancock.  It’s been a movie that I’ve been interested in for a long time now and only just had the opportunity to watch, thanks to a friend.  What did I think of it?  It was okay.  While I like the idea behind it, I found the actual production values a little weak.  I thought that Will Smith did a good job with the character and I had fun watching him become a better super hero, but I thought the story started to fall apart about half way through.  Pity, I was hoping this would be a cooler movie.
