Today I did something I always wanted to try. I made a balloon animal. A dog to be specific. See, a while ago we went to the skating rink and they where making free balloon animals for the kids there. My daughter got one (a dog) and was super happy about it. She took it home and had fun untwisting it until it was just a long balloon again. She forgot about it and it eventually lost all it’s air. Well today I found it and untied the end and blow it up again. I then found some online directions on how to make said balloon animal and PRESTO!
Apparently, I was making quite the face as I made the twists. I was really afraid of the balloon popping on me. It’s sort of a fear I guess. But it didn’t, even after I had to untwist it several times during the process due to not enough air and not twisting the proper sizes.
Balloon dog. Highlight of my day. Now I want to learn to make more. I’ll put it on my resume.
Do you know how to make balloon animals?
EDIT: Someone just sent me a linkthat relates to my balloon animal post… and it’s right up my alley with sexy, perverted things. Holy Crap, I laughed. Thanks Quiet 269.
Who loves Mega Man? I do, but I think this guy loves him more.
One MegaPhilX has gone and made a fan version of what Mega Man 10 could look like, or at least look like to him. He’s even gone so far and made an opening sequence, stage select and one whole level. I’m assuming this is just a hack of a previous Mega Man title but it’s still pretty impressive.
I like making fan pictures, but to be honest, I don’t have the pull though to do a project quite like this. I’d be all “YEAH!” in my head but would get board pretty quickly. Anyone out there do any huge fan projects on their favorite game/anime/show or whatever?
Looks like the DSi has a (rumored) release date. It should touch down in North America on April 4th at $179. So if you’re interested in it… get in line. I’m still on the fence on it really. I guess the deciding fact will be if I have a job or not.
Yesterday I talked about favorite snacks. Today I let you in on what I love next to my favorite snacks. I love trying snacks that I can’t get where I live and I don’t mean just here in Canada, snack stuff can be different from one end of a country to the other. I want to try the snacks that people buy in the southern states, over seas and way down under. I think snacks say neat things about a culture. What they like to grab on the go, the types of flavors they prefer and what they think is a fun food to eat. To me, snack foods from around the world are super fascinating.
What I’d really love to do is to set up a snack swap program. A site where you go and trade snacks from your region with other people. It would have to be non perishable foods like chips, crackers, chocolate bars, candies and such. Maybe canned drinks… I’d have to look in to that. Maybe not even limit it to snacks but just fun food products from your neck of the woods. Yeah, this idea would be awesome!
I’d be willing to swap a Big Turk chocolate bar, a small bag of ketchup flavored chips and some Swedish Berries. Any takers? Your swap would have to include snacks I can’t get at a store near me.
