homemade – post 350
Today at my house it was baking day. I made a maple, cinnamon, raisin bread. My wife made a pumpkin loaf and some peanut butter and chocolate treats made with what ever cereal was left in our cupboard. Then for supper we had a homemade beef stir fry that was just awesome! Oh, and for lunch we had leftover spaghetti with, of course, a homemade sauce.
In my opinion, you just can’t beat homemade anything. Sure, if it comes out of a box it’s fast and easy, but the flavors and the pride that you get when you’ve hand crafted your meal just can’t compare. I’m not nearly as talented as my wife is on this topic, but I do find myself flipping though recipe magazines looking for things to make. It makes me warm a fuzzy just thinking about it. ^_^
On a side note in regards to yesterday. Never do a home project with a spouse… I’ll leave it at that.

Concerning the cooking thing. I have been in the culinary field for about 5 years now. Sure there is pride and it probably tastes better, but now I’m all about speed. Mac and Cheese here I come! 🙂
P.S. Sorry about yesterday, I hope things get better.
