Zarina is one of the fairies that I’ve had lots of people ask for. Well finally I was able to deliver. Sorry for the delay everyone. Next time I need to paint her up with one of the guy fairies. I’m thinking Clank.

Hey Joe. I really like your Tinker Bell pieces and your soft cartoon shading.
I feel that this one could have used some sort of narrative hint.
Why are they spreading their legs like that? What caused them to be naked? What are they thinking at that moment?
Like telling a story with the illustration.

Hmmm… story. Maybe they’re having some fun with the treasure they found in the hold of Hook’s ship and happy to be together again after their adventure. That’s the best I can come up with. Does that work with you?

I meant as in a visual cue, with posing and staging, like having them posed as if Zarina seduced Tink into it, or any other credible reason for a scene like that to happen.
It’s an interesting challenge.

Oh for sure. Being able to tell a story in your picture is super important. Although, there are times where you just want to see some cartoon nudity and to heck with the story. ^_^

Zarina looks like a pirate fairy, so I’d think that’d put her at odds with Tink. Maybe that’s part of the fun. What a great pair of pairs of legs (and the rest of them, of course).

The Pirate Fairy was a good movie. I really liked it. Zarina is the antagonist to Tink and her friends, but didn’t start out that way. It was a fun piece to paint up and a challenge too since I’ve never drawn her before.

Really love how smooth everything about this is. The lines the color the poses. And leaving clothes on that don’t cover anything is a huge favorite of mine.

I love leaving some clothing or accessories on a character. That makes things extra sexy. ^_^
