Sticky Feet
It’s late tonight and I’m stuck to post something so you all get trade art. This cute little number is Miz Ma’m’selle Hepzibah, from the old Pogo comics. I’d never heard of this character before this trade, and I’m most certainly sorry that I hadn’t. She’ such an adorable design! Obviously, this pic here is a foot fetish which I was very happy to do. I’m not a foot person myself, but others always constantly told that I draw fantastic feet. I’m always flattered by such comments. I never try to draw cute feet… it just works out that way. I try to put character in to the toes rather than just have them static. It just makes more sense to me to draw them that way. Regardless, I’m very glad that others enjoy my feet. No wait… that sounded wrong… o_O

I have a vague recollection of the Pogo comics, but haven’t though of them in many years (and totally don’t recall this cute number). I do wonder sometimes, though, why are so many cartoon skunks sexualized? Did Pepe set a mold that other cartoonists felt they had to follow (obviously Fifi was directly modeled after Pepe, so not sure if she counts), or is there something in the anthropomorphization of the animal that lends it self to this characterization? Course it might be something else (e.g. psychology of the cartoonist or whatnot).
Also, this might be redundant, but I’ll reaffirm that you’re great with feet/legs (this pic being no exception). Very nice job.

That’s a great question. It does seem that Pepe set the bar for the sexy skunks. I guess the black and while also lends it’s self to being something sexy. But yeah, skunks seem to hold the candle for being the go to sex symbol for antho/cartoon characters.

Here is a still of her from ‘The Pogo Special Birthday Special’ made by Chuck Jones in 1969. I can see why she gets guys excited.

I’ve never seen that special, but I have heard of it. I should check it out seeing as it’s done by the legend Chuck Jones.
