Explaining Canada to Americans

I tend to mention it from time to time but for those that don’t know… I am Canadian.  A very proud Canadian in fact.  I believe that Canada is one of the best places to live on this planet, but I guess I’m a bit biased in that opinion.  Recently, my Wife showed me a clip from the Olympics where Tom Brokaw explains Canada to the American viewing audience.  It’s a great piece and I really recommend people watch.  We Canadians are proud of our Canada and we like to tell people that.  So it’s especially heart warming when we see others, our own neighbours, recognize what we think is a pretty damn great place to live. ^_^

Canada is the “control group” of what a North American country would be like had it NOT been taken over by biblebangers, quazi-fascists, and all-around crazies.

Still, Canada bears lingering responsibility for Bryan Adams.

    Things I like from Canada:
    Rush
    Triumph
    SCTV
    The Red Green Show
    Les Stroud the Survivor Man

However, you get several points deducted for that Justin Beiber guy. And you can take Mike Meyers back. After that ‘Cat In The Hat’ movie, we were done with him.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention. I also like Nelvana. They have made many of my animated favorites over the years. ‘Rock N Rule’, ‘The Devil And Daniel Mouse’, ‘Eek The Cat’ and many others. I also liked that show ‘Oh Canada’ that used to play on Cartoon Network about 10 years ago. I wish they would play that again.
