As soon as I saw this indie game, I had to post about it.  Polymorphous Perversity is a full on XXX RPG with old school graphics.  The game sounds sort of a interactive experiment in the players sexuality.  Where most games elude and dance around the topic of sex, this will put you right in the thick of it and let the player explore their own decisions regarding sex, both the fun side and the very dark side of desire.  But lets not forget that this is still a game,  RPG to be exact.

You start off as a guy with a sexual disorder who wakes up to find himself in a world all about sex.  As you explore, you’ll encounter random “battles” in which you’ll have to have sex with your performance being graded at the end.  You’ll also have to level up your character, play side quests and mini games, explore “dungeons”, battle bosses and customize your character.  You’ll also have the ability to masturbate plus other skills out side of battle.  These actions will sometimes effect the story and sometimes not.  The concept is that the player will have to make decisions based on their own sexuality and maybe learn about themselves.

One of the more interesting thing about the development of the game is that the developer has put up a “bathroom wall” on the dev blog.  What that is, is a place where those interested in the game can post up any… and I mean any sexual kink or fetish you may have or can think of and it might make it in to the game.  It’s sort of like Post Secret as in there is complete anonymity to what ever you put up.  This have been a mixed bag of anything you can imagine and some that you can’t for the developer to go through.

While it sounds like fun to dive in to others kinks, it’s also been a hard on the designer too.  He’s basically been subjecting himself to the very psychological roots of fetishes.  Which can be a dark place for some of us.  See the concept Polymorphous Perversity comes from Sigmund Freud.  It’s seen that before we teach children to be proper and civilized, they tend towards perverse gratification and that only through adults will they learn to repress such tendency.  This game will allow you to embrace (and maybe encourage) those tendencies to better learn about who you are in relation to your sexuality.

The game is close to completion and I must say that I’m very interested in playing it.  I’ll continue to follow it and make an announcement when it’s out.
