It was supposed to be the Rapture, a tenant that most Christians don’t adhere to. Its not even mentioned in Bible. But even to those who do beleive in an end time, even Jesus said no one knows when its going to be, only God does. How these fundamentalists keep overlooking this part in the New Testament, I don’t know.
Yeah, I know how disappointed we all were when the world didn’t end back in May.
But, there’s hope in sight [or, all hope is lost, depending on your take regarding the end of all there is (I borrowed that phrase from one of the Beyonder comics published by Marvel in the mid-1980s)]!
So far as I’m aware, the Earth will still come to an end on December 24, 2012!!
For now, we’ll just have to be satisfied with watching that movie.

So the world was supposed to end today? I guess I missed that memo…. What/Who started that rumor?

Some nutjob. Same guy said it was ending in 1994. Didn’t happen then either.
